About us

The service is provided by Didier Jans, SERRPA founder. He has over 20 years’ experience in the technical preparation and running of lobby campaigns on primary and secondary (comitology) on a wide diversity of issues directly related to the food chain (additives and ingredients legislation, hygiene regulation, GM legislation, control and implementation, contaminants, organic farming, etc.) or in other areas (worker protection, chemical legislation, biocides, transport, sustainability and sustainable development goals, raw materials policy, trade, etc.). He has been actively involved in the development and running of the contemporary EU feed legislation and its implementation at institutional and industry levels and has been instrumental in the emergence of FAMI-QS and other internationally-coordinated initiatives. He has created and run EU/international associations and EEIG (European Economic Interest Groupings)/consortia in various sectors, in close interaction with large and small operators of the sector. He combines a scientific education (PhD in life science) with extensive experience in industry representation and advocacy at EU level and beyond. He has successfully run wide and small-scale projects (ranging from legislative re-cast, pre-market authorization, structured interaction with value chains and authorities, technical amendment of legislative proposals, etc.) and has supported the development of respected industry representation with various kind and levels of stakeholders and authorities. He created SERRPA in 2017, which is now making this experience available to associations and corporate entities in a tailored and efficient way.
